Bookkeeper Location: Huddersfield Salary: £23,400 - £27,300 P/A Depending on Experience Hours: 9am - 5pm, 4 Days per week Type: Permanent Are you an experienced Bookkeeper who enjoys taking ownership of your work and thrives in a proactive, commercial environment? We are working with a modern and growing company based in Huddersfield who are looking to strengthen their finance function with the addition of a confident, forward-thinking Bookkeeper. This role would suit someone who can hit the ground running, has strong attention to detail, and is comfortable working independently as well as part of a small team. Accuracy, problem-solving, and a proactive attitude are key! Key Responsibilities: Inputting invoices and managing supplier accounts Conducting supplier checks and making payments Payroll processing and credit card management Balancing accounts and ensuring all records are accurate within QuickBooks Handling telephone and email queries professionally Supporting wider finance and administration tasks as neededKey Requirements: A strong background in bookkeeping and accounts (ideally senior-level experience) Proficient with QuickBooks (minimum 3-4 years' experience preferred) Comfortable with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) Highly accurate, commercially minded, and able to challenge processes where needed Able to work independently with minimal supervision Confident communication skills, both over the phone and via email The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working effectively to solve problems, both spotting and addressing any issues.If you are passionate about bookkeeping and possess the skills and experience required to drive success in a forward-thinking company that values expertise, Apply now.
