Role Overview: As Senior Operations Manager, you will be involved in numerous operational projects and play a crucial role in supporting our operational team across multiple disciplines. You will be responsible for identifying opportunities to improve operations, reducing waste, and delivering fully costed initiatives. This role requires a strategic thinker who can also work hands-on to deliver projects within tight deadlines. Key Responsibilities: Lead diverse teams across multiple locations and disciplines. Identify and implement opportunities for operational improvements. Produce development and succession plans for key team members. Deliver projects on time and within budget. Document workflows and ensure adherence to processes. Analyse data to identify trends and areas for improvement. Create accurate forecasts for resourcing and oversee planning and dispatch functions. Attend customer-facing meetings to resolve issues and maintain operational efficiency. Provide a strong presence at our head office in Purfleet and travel nationally to support the wider network. Key Skills and Qualifications: Proven ability to lead and manage diverse teams. Experience in process mapping and problem-solving. Strong financial skills with a positive impact on P&L. Background in transport/logistics, preferably in fuel/gas. Experience in managing change and working within a unionized environment. MCPC – International, IOSH/NEBOSH/CMIOSH qualifications.
