Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Mechanical Maintenance Engineer – Plymouth based My client is looking for a mechanical maintenance engineer to join their team to support their growth. Established over a decade ago, they have gone from strength to strength and with ambitious plans for the future, are looking to grow their team of skilled engineers. They are partnered with a global, award-winning food manufacturer and this role gives you the opportunity to work in a technically challenging and diverse environment, carrying out mechanical maintenance on a range of production and packing machinery. Your prime objective is to ensure that machinery and equipment is kept in good working order through both planned and reactive maintenance. Key responsibilities: Perform regular maintenance checks Take proactive measures to prevent issues and maintain machinery/equipment functionality. Predictive maintenance Unplanned maintenance (corrective/reactive) Replacing worn components, lubricating gears, motors, pumps and other moving parts, calibrating instruments, replacing filters, gears, valves etc. Document all maintenance operations Collaborate with co-workers to schedule planned maintenance The person: Mechanical or multi skilled maintenance background 3 years experience in a similar role FMCG factory experience desirable Flexible Reliable Benefits: Salary £38k-£40k DOE Private Pension 25 days holiday Bank holidays 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 6am – 2pm shift
