This position reports to R&D Local Unit Lead Your role and responsibilities In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead the processes in maintaining and preserving the efficiency of all the electrical and mechanical maintenance on Laboratory testing equipment following the Maintenance Procedures, the Machinery instruction manuals and the processes in maintaining and preserving efficiency of all testing equipment, resulting in optimization of technical resources. The work model for the role is: onsite. This role is contributing to the ABB Electrification Business area in particular for the Smart Power Division in Bergamo. Main stakeholder: the Research and Development Department. You will be mainly accountable for: Defining the details, the test sequences, their methods of execution or testing procedures, the equipment and instrumentation to be used, with reference to the applicable standards, preparing the necessary test set-up, the required measure instruments, connecting the device under test on the testing plant and executing tests; Analyzing the tests results according to the applicable standard for checking the compliance of the product tested; Producing and developing activities required for the processing of test reports for tested equipment, and issuing the reports; Proposing improvements in the existing test techniques, based on experience and use of new equipment, in particular for test and measurement equipment; Assisting and supporting customers during testing activities. Qualifications for the role High School Diploma in the Electrotechnical field or Bachelor Degree (3 years) in a Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronic field; You are highly skilled in Electrotechnical Knowledge; Ability to demonstrate your manual skills, analysis capacity and interpretation of results; You are qualified in computer skills (programming knowledge and office software package and PLC programs); You are passionate about precision, teamwork and have a high desire to learn and attitude for problem solving; You are at ease communicating in Italian and English language; Availability to work in rotating shifts.
