Quality Assurance Engineer - Manual & API Testing

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer (Software Engineer II level) with a solid background in Manual Testing and API Testing. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of QA methodologies, excellent analytical skills, and hands-on experience in testing web and API-based applications. Key Responsibilities : - Understand product requirements and translate them into detailed test cases. - Perform thorough manual testing of web/mobile applications to ensure optimal functionality and usability. - Conduct API testing using tools like Postman, Swagger, or similar tools to validate request-response cycles, headers, authentication, etc. - Identify, document, and track bugs and inconsistencies in a structured manner. - Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle. - Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives as part of the Agile process. - Suggest and help implement QA process improvements and best practices. - Ensure the release of high-quality, bug-free features and applications. Required Skills & Qualifications : - Experience: 25 years in a QA or Software Testing role. - Strong understanding of manual testing techniques, test case design, and bug reporting. - Hands-on experience in API testing and tools like Postman or REST Assured (basic scripting is a plus). - Familiarity with SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies. - Strong understanding of testing concepts, QA terminologies, and defect life cycle. - Good problem-solving and analytical thinking skills. - Ability to write and maintain clear, concise, and comprehensive test cases and test reports. - Familiarity with JIRA, TestRail, or other test management and bug tracking tools. - Exposure to basic scripting or automation (e.g., Python, JavaScript, or Selenium). - Experience in testing mobile applications (Android/iOS). - Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems like Git. - Basic understanding of databases and ability to write simple SQL queries. - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (ref:hirist.tech)
