Job Description

Responsibilities : - Cloud Infrastructure Design & Implementation : Design and implement robust and scalable cloud infrastructure solutions on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, based on best practices and business requirements. - Infrastructure as Code (IaC) : Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates to automate infrastructure provisioning and management. - Automation & Orchestration : Implement automation and orchestration workflows for deployment, configuration management, and scaling of cloud resources using tools like Ansible, Chef, or Kubernetes. - Cloud Security & Compliance : Implement and enforce security best practices and compliance standards within our cloud environment, working closely with the security team. - Monitoring & Observability : Design and implement comprehensive monitoring and observability solutions to proactively identify and resolve performance issues and ensure system health. - CI/CD Pipeline Integration : Integrate cloud infrastructure and services with our continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to enable automated deployments. - Cost Optimization : Continuously monitor and optimize cloud resource utilization to ensure cost-effectiveness and identify opportunities for savings. - Troubleshooting & Incident Management : Participate in incident response and troubleshooting efforts for cloud-related issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimizing downtime. - Capacity Planning & Scalability : Perform capacity planning and implement strategies to ensure our cloud infrastructure can scale to meet future demands. - Collaboration with Development Teams : Work closely with software development teams to understand their infrastructure needs and provide guidance on cloud best practices. - Documentation & Knowledge Sharing : Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for our cloud infrastructure, processes, and automation workflows. Share knowledge and best practices with the wider team. - Staying Current : Keep abreast of the latest advancements in cloud technologies and best : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. - 5-7 years of hands-on experience as a Cloud Engineer or in a similar role. - Strong proficiency in at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP). - Deep understanding and practical experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates). - Experience with automation and orchestration tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Kubernetes). - Solid understanding of cloud security principles and best practices. - Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Google Cloud Monitoring). - Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and their integration with cloud infrastructure. - Strong scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash). - Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. - Strong communication and collaboration skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a Qualifications : - Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Cloud Architect). - Experience with containerization technologies (Docker). - Knowledge of networking principles in the cloud (e.g., VPC, VNet, Security Groups). - Experience with serverless computing (e.g., AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, Google Cloud Functions). - Familiarity with DevOps principles and practices. - Experience with cost management tools in the cloud (ref:hirist.tech)
