Overview We are seeking a skilled and adaptable CAD Designer – Electricity to join our growing team. As part of a dynamic group consisting of two current team members (a general designer and an electrical designer), this position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a variety of projects within the infrastructure and electrical domains. The role will involve creating detailed CAD drawings, providing technical design support, and collaborating closely with team members throughout the lifecycle of each project. Responsibilities: Create and produce detailed CAD drawings for electrical systems and infrastructure projects, ensuring all designs align with project specifications and industry standards. Provide technical guidance and solutions during the entire project lifecycle, from conceptualization to implementation, addressing any questions or challenges that arise. Work closely with both electrical and general designers to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems into broader infrastructure designs. Collaborate with project teams to ensure that designs meet technical and functional requirements. Manage changing workloads, adjusting priorities to accommodate project needs, including handling both high-demand periods and quieter phases. Ensure that all technical documentation and drawings are accurate, clear, and consistent, contributing to high-quality project delivery. Maintain proper records of changes and updates to designs. Utilize industry-standard CAD tools (e.g., Eplan, Elec calc) and other design software to produce and update drawings efficiently. Contribute to continuous process improvement by suggesting better practices or tools where applicable. Qualifications: A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in CAD design, with a focus on electrical systems. Proficiency in Electrical CAD software such as Eplan and Elec calc. Experience with additional design tools such as Microstation, OpenBuilding, AutoCAD, Revit, or other BIM software. Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is a plus. Languages: Fluency in English; Knowledge of French is an additional asset. A combined proficiency in both general infrastructure CAD and electrical CAD would be a significant advantage.
