Group Accountant

Group Accountant £50,000 - £60,000 Brentwood, Essex (Hybrid 2 days/wk from home) This privately-owned real estate company based in Brentwood, Essex, is seeking to recruit a recently qualified accountant seeking a first move into Industry. The Role Reporting to the Group FC, you’ll be responsible for delivering accurate, timely, and insightful financial reporting to support decision-making across the business. Working closely with operational and central teams, you’ll play a vital role in strengthening financial control and ensuring regulatory compliance. Main responsibilities Preparation of group consolidated financial statements and annual statutory accounts Leading the year-end audit process and liaising with external auditors Monthly management accounts preparation for central functions Supporting corporation tax submissions alongside external advisors Preparation of VAT returns and ONS/statutory reporting Partnering with central departments to support financial planning, reporting and forecasting Driving process improvement and strengthening internal reporting Your background ACA/ACCA qualified accountant Strong experience preparing statutory accounts and/or managing external audits Comfortable working across multi-entity or group structures Advanced Excel skills and confident using reporting tools Clear communication skills, with the ability to engage both finance and non-finance stakeholders An interest in working in a values-led, purpose-driven environment with commercial ambition
