Veterinarian

Qualifications: Education: High school diploma or equivalent (required). Degree in Veterinary Science A background in agriculture, animal science, or a related field (preferred). Experience: Prior experience in livestock handling or feedlot operations (advantageous but not always required). Experience operating farm machinery such as tractors, loaders, and feed trucks. Skills: Animal Husbandry Knowledge: Understanding of livestock behavior, nutrition, and health. Ability to detect signs of illness and administer basic treatments. Mechanical Skills: Basic knowledge of operating and maintaining farm equipment. Ability to perform minor repairs. Physical Stamina: Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Capacity to lift heavy objects and perform manual labor. Attention to Detail: Accuracy in following feeding schedules and maintaining records. Awareness of biosecurity protocols and animal welfare standards. Communication and Teamwork: Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with other feedlot staff. Ability to follow instructions and report observations effectively. Personal Attributes: Passion for working with animals. Strong work ethic and ability to work independently. Willingness to work long hours, including weekends and holidays, as required by the job. Licenses and Certifications: A valid drivers license (required for operating feedlot vehicles and equipment). Certification in animal health or first aid (preferred). Knowledge of safety standards and compliance with agricultural regulations.
