Controller Brazil

This position will lead the finance function in Mexico as it is a part of the Global Accounting & Control organization and the positions responsibilities include: Manage and lead the Accounting and Controlling function for Brazil, including the implementation of consistent and effective business processes That enhance both Company and outsourced (TCS) service providers delivery requirements Provide primary coordination for activities and alignment between Finance & Accounting, Tax and Treasury. Provide financial support to the Business Unit through advise and timely accurate reporting, Lead and manage all aspects associated with Tax and Treasury/Credit management compliance with related policies and procedures. Ensure timely compliance with statutory and tax requirements as well as corporate policies and procedures Maintain an appropriate internal control environment and assist in the SOX Team development prepare a succession plan SCOPE Management of general accounting processes including historical financial reporting Manage the internal control environment including SOX compliance as well as point of contact for internal and external audits Manage the fiscal and taxes area including tax audits. Manage local treasury including bank relationships in accordance with global policies and guidelines. Provide support for general legal, administrative and statutory requirements. REQUIREMENTS Certified Public accountant (with an active C.R.C. registration) 7-10 years’ experience leading finance functions; working knowledge of U.S. and Brazilian G.A.A.P Over 10 years experience handling Brazilian direct and indirect tax requirements. Strong knowledge of Brazilian fiscal books and tax reporting requirements including SPED requirements. Experience handling SOX requirements. Experience in working with SAP and/or another ERP system within the Brazilian environment as well as familiarity with Brazilian fiscal books applications such as OPENRIS or MASTERSAF. Familiarity with a shared service environment is a plus. A hands-on individual with demonstrated experience resolving accounting and fiscal issues.
