Senior Asset Manager (Solar)

Social network you want to login/join with: This is an exciting opportunity to join WiseEnergy’s Commercial & ESG team to strengthen our service delivery to pre-construction sites and refine our operational asset management services and systems. We are seeking an experienced Senior Operations Analyst to expand our existing Ready to Build (RtB) and pre-construction capabilities and to support operational asset management services to a variety of asset owners, including NextEnergy, with plants located in Italy. This role will also give us exposure to the agrivoltaic sector and help develop our expertise in this emerging area. We anticipate significant growth in RtB, pre-construction services, and agrivoltaics development/operations over the coming years. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES This role is integral to the WiseEnergy team, including: Managing regulatory relations between the SPV and/or Company’s interface with authorities such as GSE, ARERA, TERNA, e-distribuzione, and Agenzia delle Dogane (Dichiarazione di Consumo, Registri di Misure), including communications, audits, and inspections. Ensuring regulatory and compliance practices related to assets under construction (RtB activities) and pre-Commercial Operations Date. Developing specialized knowledge of the regulatory and contractual aspects pertaining to agrivoltaic plants to support commissioning and operational management. Managing contracts: renewals, tendering to optimize operating costs, issuing supplier notices, and ensuring compliance with obligations related to contracts such as SPA, Lease, PPA, O&M, EPC, etc. Understanding lender requirements and stakeholder management. Supporting regulatory audits as required. Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual client reports. Developing annual revenue and operating cost budgets and quarterly forecasts. Ensuring compliance with ESG and community relations obligations. Managing land agreements and relationships with landowners. Asset onboarding: developing and populating asset information into the company’s asset management platform (AMP), mapping contracts and other data. Handling commercial projects. Travel within Italy as needed. SKILLS & COMPETENCIES To succeed, you should demonstrate: Effective time management and prioritization skills. Excellent communication skills in English and/or other European languages, with clear, compelling written and verbal communication. Flexibility and teamwork, with openness to new tasks beyond the job scope. Intellectual curiosity, especially regarding technical management and renewable energy topics. IT literacy, including intermediate Excel skills. Proactive work ethic with a focus on quality and timely delivery. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS Degree in engineering, economics, science, law, or related fields. Extensive regulatory and contract experience. At least 5-6 years in the renewable energy sector, preferably solar. Fluent in Italian and proficient in English. Legal right to work in Italy.
