Job Locations This position will be located in: Charlotte, NC; Garner, NC; Kernersville, NC; Monroe, NC; Clinton, NC; West Columbia, SC; Greenville, SC; Greenwood, SC; North Augusta, SC; Florence, SC; Ladson, SC; Sumter, SC. Job Summary Supports the day-to-day operations of Account Managers, Customer Service Reps, and customers by providing product, application, and technical support and service. Regularly calls on customer accounts and makes joint sales calls with Account Managers to secure orders and perform other sales support functions for technical products and services, including field support, application support, training, and other services. Consults with customers on product and system applications, and provides timely follow-up on quotations and technical inquiries. Responsibilities Essential Functions Work closely with sales and marketing staff to meet and exceed sales and profit objectives. Call on customer accounts, make joint sales calls, and provide support services as required. Consult with customers on product and system applications. Follow up on quotations, inquiries, and requests promptly. Maintain ongoing contact with customers' engineering staff, contractors, and consultants. Provide specialized product support for branches and customers. Participate in marketing, planning, and sales of technical products and services. Advise management on marketing plan implementation and success. Deliver responsive, quality service to exceed customer expectations. Provide input on customer needs, pricing, competition, and market potential. Evaluate new products and recommend stock levels. Contribute to pricing and purchasing decisions. Lead customer and employee training on technical product lines. Develop and maintain technical and customer databases. Coordinate with manufacturing agents/vendors on strategic issues. Non-essential Functions Evaluate demo equipment and suggest new products. Document cost savings and ensure demo functionality. Assist with product updates and launches. Participate in sales meetings, trade shows, and training. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Four-year technical or engineering degree preferred or equivalent experience. Knowledge of electrical and industrial products, automation software/hardware preferred. Four years of customer service, marketing, quotation, or sales experience preferred. Three years of electrical distribution and quotation experience preferred. Ability to communicate effectively in English. Proficiency in PC, Microsoft Office, Internet, Email, and SAP software preferred. Skills and Abilities Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills. Ability to plan and organize effectively. Physical Requirements Includes lifting, carrying, and physical activity levels with specific weights and frequencies as detailed.
