Job Description: Overview Leonardo, in partnership with BAE Systems and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, is engaged in the GCAP (Global Combat Air Programme), a strategic initiative to develop a next-generation 'system of systems' for multidomain defense operations. Position Within the Cyber & Security Solutions Area, we are seeking a Software Engineer for defense-related products and projects. Responsibilities Analyze user needs and system specifications. Define software requirements. Identify solutions for virtual environment modeling, especially using tools like Mathworks SIMULINK, for training and simulation applications. Develop cybersecurity solutions for information management systems. Support and manage CSCI or System Integration activities. Lead the software development team, managing time and task priorities. Requirements Bachelor's or Master's degree in STEM disciplines. Junior level (1-3 years of experience). Technical skills including hardware and software architecture, ICT systems, SQL and noSQL databases, system design and implementation, requirements analysis, and modeling. Proficiency with Mathworks SIMULINK, network and transmission systems, ICT technologies, cybersecurity, and agile or DevSecOps methodologies. Behavioral skills such as proactivity, problem-solving, communication, time management, flexibility, and teamwork. English proficiency at B2 level.
