Job Description
Job Title: Medical Affairs Manager - Dermatology/Oncology For our dynamic and growing Brands division within an established international pharmaceutical company, we are seeking an experienced Medical Affairs field professional. This role offers the opportunity to operate autonomously and develop broadly by engaging in all aspects of the business and managing your own daily work. You will join a team of three Medical Managers in Italy, responsible for the Medical Affairs strategy and execution of medical projects. You will also support sales and marketing colleagues, requiring a demonstrable affinity for identifying commercial opportunities. Candidates must reside in Italy and speak English, as communication with the European management team is essential. You will report to the Lead Medical Managers Europe, with the European offices located in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Major Tasks & Responsibilities Develop and execute Medical Affairs strategies and scientific projects, including publications and advisory boards. Identify and build relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), influencers, and leaders in the scientific and healthcare community, using evidence-based information. Support the development and launch of products through scientific exchange, particularly in melanoma. Assist with Early Access Program requests from healthcare professionals in Italy for melanoma patients. Provide business support for Italian marketing, commercial, and market access activities related to Odomzo (sonidegib) for basal cell carcinoma. Lead the process for investigator-initiated trials and monitor their progress. Disseminate clinical and scientific information about marketed and pipeline compounds in a timely, compliant, and ethical manner. Establish and support networks in derma-oncology and other potential therapeutic areas. Communicate emerging data to experts and respond to healthcare professional inquiries. Support colleagues in organizing HCP events by providing medical content for speakers. Education & Qualifications Mandatory: (Bio)medical or scientific academic degree. Driver’s license. Minimum of 3 years of experience as an MSL or Medical Manager in the innovative pharmaceutical industry. At least 1 year of experience in a commercial role within the same industry. Native Italian speaker and fluent in English. Desirable: Dermatology or Oncology experience. Desirable: Experience with Early Access Programs in Italy. Technical Skills & Competencies Strong scientific knowledge. Strategic thinking abilities. Knowledge of Dermatology or Oncology. Understanding of regulatory environment and compliance.
