WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: A passionate Cloud & DevOps Engineer for ESA Missions in Rome, supporting space technology and cloud infrastructure. The role involves overseeing real-time mission operations, system integrity, and cloud optimization for ESA satellite missions. YOUR TASKS: Oversee real-time monitoring and operation of ESA missions in cloud environments. Diagnose, resolve, and prevent operational issues with proactive and automated solutions. Analyze system performance and implement improvements. Develop scripts for automation of infrastructure and mission operations. Assist with software deployments, system upgrades, and integrations. Maintain operational procedures and technical documentation. Perform routine application maintenance for performance and security. YOUR SKILLS: Proficiency in Linux administration and troubleshooting. Strong Shell Scripting skills (Bash, Python, etc.). Experience with Docker and Kubernetes. Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). Troubleshooting and performance optimization expertise. Understanding of networking concepts. Experience in project planning and technical reporting. Excellent English communication skills. NICE TO HAVE: Experience with monitoring/logging tools (Grafana, Kibana, Elasticsearch). Basic web technologies knowledge (HTML, XML). Experience with web servers (Apache, Tomcat). Knowledge of Python scripting, LDAP, databases, and ESA mission environments. Experience in satellite mission operations.
