DevOps Engineer - CI/CD Pipeline

Job Summary : We are seeking a proactive and skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for automating and streamlining our development and operations processes, ensuring the smooth deployment and maintenance of our applications. You will work closely with development and operations teams to implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, manage infrastructure as code, and optimize system performance. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of DevOps principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for automation. Responsibilities : Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) : - Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate software builds, testing, and deployments. - Utilize tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or similar to streamline the release process. - Optimize CI/CD pipelines for speed, reliability, and security. - Implement automated testing strategies to ensure code quality. Infrastructure as Code (IaC) : - Manage and automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible. - Develop and maintain infrastructure as code repositories. - Ensure infrastructure scalability, security, and reliability. Cloud Infrastructure Management : - Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure on platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP. - Implement and maintain cloud security best practices. - Monitor cloud resource utilization and costs. - Troubleshoot cloud-related issues. Automation and Scripting : - Develop and maintain automation scripts using languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell. - Automate repetitive tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual errors. - Implement and maintain configuration management tools. Monitoring and Logging : - Implement and maintain monitoring and logging systems (e.g, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack) to ensure system health and performance. - Set up alerts and notifications for critical system events. - Analyze logs and metrics to identify and resolve issues. System Reliability and Performance : - Identify and resolve system performance bottlenecks. - Implement and maintain disaster recovery and backup strategies. - Ensure high availability and fault tolerance of systems. Collaboration and Communication : - Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure smooth software delivery. - Communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively. - Participate in Agile development processes and contribute to team meetings. Security and Compliance : - Implement and maintain security best practices for infrastructure and applications. - Ensure compliance with relevant security standards and regulations. - Conduct security assessments and vulnerability scans. Documentation : - Create and maintain technical documentation for infrastructure, deployment processes, and troubleshooting guides. - Document automation scripts and configuration management processes. Continuous Learning : - Stay up-to-date with the latest DevOps technologies and best practices. - Research and evaluate new tools and technologies to improve efficiency. - Participate in training and professional development activities. Qualifications : Education : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Experience : - 5 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role. - Proven experience in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines. - Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools. - Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). - Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes). Technical Skills : - Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell). - Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, etc. - Experience with IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible). - Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). - Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes). - Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK). - Understanding of networking and security principles.
