Commercial Finance Manager

Are you a commercially-minded finance professional ready to make a real impact at a group level? We’re looking for an ambitious and collaborative Group Commercial Finance Business Partner to join our clients dynamic team based in Chichester. In this high-visibility role, you’ll partner with the Commercial Director and team to drive insights, profitability, and business growth across the UK, Portugal, and Group-level operations. You’ll oversee gross margin reporting, scenario planning, and strategic commercial support—ensuring decisions are based on robust financial analysis and clear commercial visibility. What You’ll Be Doing * Act as the key finance contact for UK, Portugal, and Group commercial reporting. * Lead customer gross margin analysis and weekly Commercial Meeting financial support. * Create scenario planning tools and support new business opportunities. * Provide commercial support including trade debtor analysis and liaising with our Trade Credit Insurer. * Deliver clear, actionable insight through data, partnering with the Commercial Director. * Manage and coach the UK & Portugal Operations Business Partners. * Oversee budget and forecast activities across trade debtors, procurement, crop planning, and more. * Ensure consistency in processes and reporting across regions. What You’ll Bring * ACA, ACCA or equivalent professional finance qualification. * Proven experience in a Commercial Finance role. * Strong commercial awareness and business partnering expertise. * High proficiency in Microsoft Business Central or equivalent ERP system. * Exceptional analytical, Excel, and data presentation skills. * Background in FMCG, food, or agriculture sectors (preferred). * A proactive, collaborative, and flexible mindset—with the ability to travel regularly to Portugal.
