Civils Resident Engineer

Resident Engineer - CSA Plymouth - Onsite, 5 Days a Week Up to £70/hr (Umbrella, Inside IR35) 44-Week Contract Must be Eligible for SC Clearance Are you a highly experienced Resident Engineer with a background in Civil, Structural & Architectural (CSA) works? We're recruiting for a major defence infrastructure programme based in Plymouth, where you'll play a key role in ensuring quality and compliance during a high-profile submarine refit construction project. Key Responsibilities: * Ensure delivery of site Quality through oversight, inspections, and technical support. * Provide expert advice during installation and commissioning phases, primarily across Civils and M&E activity. * Support the construction and project teams with issue resolution and management of technical queries. * Monitor and ensure contractor adherence to scope, change requests, and integrated test plans. * Maintain strong stakeholder communication to support integrated project delivery. Skills & Experience Required: * Degree qualified and/or Chartered in a relevant discipline. * Proven experience executing construction work within a nuclear or highly regulated environment. * Strong knowledge of CDM regulations, construction practices, and health & safety legislation. * Experience working within the boundary of a nuclear licensed site. * Familiar with NEC contracts and their delivery within major infrastructure programmes. * Excellent stakeholder management and team collaboration skills.
