Job Description

An opportunity to join one of the UK’s most successful start-ups in scientific instrumentation and analytics from the last few years. This company have gone from strength to strength in developing and commercialising their Adeno-Associated Virus (AAV) and Lentiviral vectors (LVV) analytical equipment. The Senior Electronics Engineer will design, develop, modify and evaluate electronic components for electronic equipment, or other hardware systems and/or electrical engineering applications. Will determine design approaches and parameters. Analyse equipment to establish operating data, conduct experimental tests and evaluate results. Selects components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability. They will also lead the development with outsourcing partners and is the main party responsible for internal standards. Responsibilities in the role: Responsible for the process of full lifecycle development for electronic products Design development (plan, design, test, manufacture) Compliance Issue fixing and improvements Responsible for maintaining standards and provide compliance and certification support Leads development with external Electronics Partners for outsourced design Writing design specifications Managing communication and timelines Validate designs Manage internal electronic systems Research and implement improvements Select components and liaise with component suppliers Leading a project and/or small team Supply electronics expertise to aid other projects Requirements: MEng in electrical engineering or similar Full-cycle board-level electronics design for products released to market Electronics design (PCB, PCB assemblies) in any CAD tool, both schematic and layout Design testing Component Selection Compliance Testing Design Outsourcing Strategy Full-cycle project management Manufacture partner selection Software Deployment Mass Photometry What they offer: 25 days annual leave per year in addition to bank holidays Up to 7% employer matched pension contribution Private health insurance from day one plus critical illness cover, income protection and life insurance Give as You Earn and Cycle to Work salary sacrifice schemes.
