JOB TITLE: Senior Accountant ROLE TYPE: Permanent, Full Time LOCATION: North London HOURS/DAYS (per week): Mon - Fri (5 days per week), Office-based until probation is completed, then view for hybrid working (performance-dependant) SALARY RANGE: £50,000 per annum benefits (depending on experience) NOTICE & PROBATION PERIODS: TBC BENEFITS/BONUSES/HOLIDAYS: Standard Annual leave allowance Company parking permit Yearly salary review. COMPANY CULTURE & SUMMARY: My client are a small to medium-sized firm of Chartered Accountants, who's Head Office is located in North London. With over 35 staff throughout their London offices and a large outsourced team internationally, this firm are looking to make a couple of crucial hires as they continue to scale and professionally service their long-standing and loyal client base to the highest of standards. JOB ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES (include but not limited to): As a Senior Accountant, you'll be working on the below duties and responsibilities, showing drive and enthusiasm to complete Accounting tasks to high standards. You will have experience working on UK GAAP and processing complex matters. You will have experience performing at a high level of efficiency, delivering a range of compliance and consultancy led work including ad hoc projects. A general practice background with accounts and corporation tax experience is essential. You will be experienced in dealing with companies with a Turnover in excess of £3m and Gross Assets in excess of £2m without supervision. You'll be managing a client portfolio (accounts, corporation tax) suitable to your current skill set with a view to development. Acting as a key contact for those clients, delivering on multiple assignments to agreed deadlines independently and alongside the Engagement Partner. Trusted to manage projects fully and to a specific budget. Actively seeking opportunities to contribute to the firm`s growth and management. Responsibility for the review of a portfolio of VAT tax returns. Assisting the Outsourcing team with reviewing and finalising Financial Accounts, monthly Management Accounts and Vax Returns. Taking responsibility of your team, providing guidance and development of junior staff. ANY SPECIFIC TRAINING/QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Hold either a ICAEW or ACCA qualification. Have experience working within a busy public practice. Display unquestionable integrity, excellent verbal, and written communication. Demonstrate strong logical and analytical skills. Have experience in Tax after Brexit. Knowledge of Iris Accounts Production, VT and Xero (desirable) INTERVIEW/START DATES: ASAP
