Quality Engineering Lab Manager | Peterborough A forward-thinking advanced materials manufacturer is seeking a Quality Engineering Lab Manager to lead quality operations within its production and testing environment. This is a hands-on role at the heart of the lab and factory floor — ideal for someone who thrives on solving problems, improving systems, and ensuring products meet the highest standards before reaching customers. What you’ll be doing: Oversee day-to-day quality testing processes in a fast-paced manufacturing lab. Act as the first point of contact when test results or product performance fall outside expected parameters. Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions, working closely with production, engineering, and technical teams. Maintain and improve lab procedures, test methods, and quality documentation. Drive continuous improvement in lab-based quality systems, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.What we’re looking for: Strong background in quality engineering, ideally within a lab or manufacturing environment. Experience troubleshooting issues in test/inspection processes. Comfortable engaging with cross-functional teams to resolve production challenges.
