Performance Test Lead - Software Quality Assurance

Job Title : Performance Test Lead Experience : 5 Years Location : [Specify Location / Remote] Employment Type : Full-time / Contract Job Summary : We are looking for a Performance Test Lead with over 5 years of experience in performance testing and engineering. The ideal candidate will lead performance testing efforts, develop test strategies, and ensure applications meet scalability, stability, and reliability benchmarks. Key Responsibilities : - Lead end-to-end performance testing efforts for web, mobile, and enterprise applications - Define performance testing strategies, test plans, and workload models - Develop, maintain, and execute performance test scripts using tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, or NeoLoad - Analyze test results, identify bottlenecks, and recommend performance tuning - Collaborate with DevOps, Developers, and Business teams to define performance KPIs - Set up and maintain performance test environments (cloud/on-prem) - Generate detailed reports and present findings to stakeholders - Mentor and guide junior performance testers in the team Required Skills : - Strong experience with JMeter, LoadRunner, or other major performance testing tools - Good knowledge of APM tools (e.g., Dynatrace, AppDynamics, New Relic) - Strong understanding of system architecture, cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP), and CI/CD pipelines - Proficient in analyzing server logs, heap/thread dumps, and profiling - Hands-on with scripting in Java, Python, or Shell (a plus) - Familiar with REST APIs, web protocols (HTTP, WebSocket), and DB performance tuning Qualifications : - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field - 5 years of relevant experience in performance testing and analysis - Certification in performance testing tools or ISTQB (preferred but not mandatory) Preferred : - Experience in performance testing microservices and containerized applications (Docker/K8s) - Prior experience leading small QA teams - Exposure to agile methodologies and working in sprints (ref:hirist.tech)
