AS400 Developer - RPG

Job Title : AS400 Developer - Supply Chain Management Experience Required : 8 Years Location : Hyderabad, Pune, Gurugram Employment Type : [Full-Time / Contract] Notice Period : [Immediate to 30 Days Preferred] Job Summary : We are looking for an experienced AS400 Developer with a strong background in Supply Chain Management (SCM) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing applications on the IBM iSeries (AS400) platform. The candidate should possess deep domain knowledge of supply chain processes and strong expertise in RPG programming and other AS400 technologies. Key Responsibilities : - Develop, maintain, and enhance applications on AS400/iSeries using RPG IV, RPGLE, CL, and SQL. - Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical designs and solutions. - Collaborate with supply chain functional teams to understand process flows and ensure system alignment. - Provide technical support for AS400 applications related to SCM functions such as inventory management, procurement, order processing, logistics, and warehouse management. - Perform unit and integration testing, ensuring high-quality deliverables. - Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely manner. - Participate in code reviews, impact analysis, and performance tuning. - Create and maintain technical documentation for all development work. Mandatory Skills : - 8 years of hands-on experience in AS400/iSeries development. - Strong programming skills in RPG IV, RPGLE, CL, and DB2/400 (SQL). - In-depth understanding of Supply Chain Management processes (e.g., procurement, inventory, order management, logistics). - Experience in designing and building batch and interactive applications. - Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills on AS400. - Experience with job scheduling and monitoring tools on AS400. Good-to-Have Skills : - Exposure to modernizing AS400 applications or integrating with web-based systems. - Knowledge of EDI processes and tools. - Experience with change management tools (Aldon, TurnOver, etc.). - Familiarity with Agile methodologies. - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Education & Certifications : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - Relevant certifications in IBM i/AS400 technologies (preferred but not mandatory).
