Lead AWS Control Tower DevOps Engineer

Role : Lead AWS Control Tower DevOps Engineer Experience : 8-12 Years. Location : Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad Work Mode : Hybrid (2 days work from office is mandate) Work Type : Contract ( 6 Months ) Notice : Immediate Responsibilities : - Lead the design, implementation, and management of our AWS multi-account environment using AWS Control Tower and Account Factory for Terraform (AFT). - Develop and maintain Terraform modules and configurations for provisioning and managing AWS resources within the Control Tower framework. - Implement and enforce AWS Service Control Policies (SCPs) and IAM policies to ensure consistent governance, security, and compliance across all AWS accounts. - Design and implement robust networking infrastructure within the AWS environment, including VPCs, subnets, route tables, and security groups, adhering to best practices. - Develop and deploy automation solutions using AWS Lambda, Step Functions, and API Gateway to streamline operational tasks and improve efficiency. - Utilize AWS CloudFormation and S3 for infrastructure deployment and configuration management. - Develop and maintain detailed architecture diagrams, deployment playbooks, and runbooks to ensure clear understanding and efficient operations. - Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate the deployment of infrastructure and applications. - Apply the principles of the AWS Well-Architected Framework to design and implement resilient, secure, performant, cost-optimized, and operationally excellent solutions. - Implement and maintain Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies and best practices within the AWS environment. - Write and maintain robust and efficient scripts in Python or Node.js for automation tasks and Lambda functions. - Collaborate with security teams to implement and maintain security best practices and compliance standards. - Work closely with development and operations teams to provide guidance and support for the AWS environment. - Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the AWS infrastructure and automation processes. - Contribute to the continuous improvement of our AWS infrastructure and DevOps practices. - Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members as needed. Required Skills : - Extensive hands-on experience (8-12 years) working with AWS cloud services. - Deep expertise in AWS Control Tower and Account Factory for Terraform (AFT) for managing multi-account environments. - Solid understanding and practical experience with AWS Lambda, Step Functions, and API Gateway. - Proficiency in using AWS CloudFormation and AWS S3 for infrastructure deployment and management. - Strong knowledge and implementation experience with AWS Service Control Policies (SCPs), AWS Organizations, and IAM for governance and security. - Comprehensive understanding of networking fundamentals within AWS, including VPC, Route Tables, Subnets, and Security Groups. - Familiarity with the AWS Well-Architected Framework and its application in designing cloud solutions. - Proven ability to implement and maintain Disaster Recovery (DR) best practices in AWS. - Excellent proficiency with Terraform and a strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles. - Demonstrated experience in writing and maintaining detailed architecture diagrams, deployment playbooks, and runbooks. - Strong scripting skills in Python or Node.js for developing automation scripts and Lambda functions. - Solid understanding of DevOps practices and experience with CI/CD pipelines. - Ability to effectively work across multi-account environments and implement solutions for operational automation. Preferred Qualifications : - AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate or Professional certification. - Significant experience with AWS Organizations and large-scale enterprise AWS deployments. - Background in infrastructure security and compliance automation. - Excellent written and verbal communication and documentation skills.
