Senior Infrastructure Engineer - Troubleshooting

Responsibilities : - Responsible for leading advanced technical initiatives and overseeing critical system operations. - Advanced Troubleshooting : deal with critical system failures, performance optimizations, and intricate software/hardware interactions. - Conduct root cause analysis for recurring or critical incidents to identify underlying issues and recommend long-term solutions. - Proactively drive improvements to the support framework for key technologies, integrating best practices in service design to enhance solution effectiveness. - Provide expert-level support and guidance, serving as a point of escalation for complex technical issues, and swiftly resolving them to minimize service disruptions and uphold continuity. - Lead the planning and execution of engineering change initiatives, ensuring seamless transitions and minimal impact on operations. - Take charge of project management responsibilities, supporting teams through infrastructure-related projects from inception to completion, including planning, resource allocation, and execution. - Spearhead the development and upkeep of comprehensive policies, procedures, and technical documentation and manuals, fostering knowledge dissemination and maintaining clarity in operational procedures. - Optimize system performance through tuning parameters, resource allocation, and capacity planning. - Serve as a point of contact with vendors for escalated issues, bug fixes, and feature requests. - Develop scripts and automation tools to streamline repetitive tasks and improve efficiency. - Lead operational team incident response and actions from an infrastructure perspective. - Develop and monitor key indicators to ensure that the environment is performing as expected and at an acceptable risk level. - Lead technical committees associated with infrastructure domains to ensure a high level of operational effectiveness. - Ensure fluent communication and the creation of alliances with different stakeholders and teams, fostering a constructive approach to solve issues, mitigate risks, and improve efficiency. - Collaborate with other teams such as security team to address multifaceted challenges in IT infrastructure. Experience : - Possess a minimum of 7 years of robust experience in technical support environments or fieldwork, demonstrating proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving complex issues. - Specialized in architecting, implementing, and maintaining infrastructure solutions across diverse environments to ensure high performance and reliability. - Extensive expertise in Windows operating systems and Office 365 cloud services. - Extensive knowledge in Administration and support of Microsoft server 2016/2022 systems, Active Directory, Group Policy Objects (GPO), Microsoft Intune and SQL Server. - Proficiency in Veeam Backup & Replication platforms, with a comprehensive understanding of backup technologies and best practices. - Strong background in VMware and Microsoft Windows server environments, coupled with adeptness in group policy management. - Experience with Azure cloud services is highly advantageous, showcasing the ability to leverage cloud technologies to enhance infrastructure efficiency and scalability. - Expertise in Azure Virtual Desktop, Azure Blob Storage, and Azure AD. - Familiarity with Azure Entitlement Management and Identity Protection. - Demonstrated capability in project management and leadership, with a track record of successfully coordinating and leading global ICT projects from conception to completion.
