Senior C++ Developer - Broadcom Platform

Job Title : Senior C++ Developer - L2 Networking (IC3) Experience : 8 Years Location : Pune (Onsite) Job Summary : We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior C++ Developer with a strong background in embedded software development for Layer 2 (L2) switching, especially on Broadcom platforms. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in C++, Layer 2 protocols, and Broadcom SDKs/APIs. This role requires hands-on development, system optimization, and collaboration across cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, high-performance networking environment. Key Responsibilities : - Design, develop, and maintain embedded software for Layer 2 switching, with a focus on Broadcom switch platforms. - Configure switches to support advanced networking features such as VLANs, VxLANs, NAT, and other L2 protocols. - Implement packet inspection and filtering rules to ensure network security and traffic optimization. - Work closely with Broadcom SDKs and APIs to build and optimize platform-specific solutions. - Collaborate with hardware teams, network architects, and QA to ensure seamless integration and deployment. - Conduct performance tuning and optimization by identifying system bottlenecks. - Troubleshoot and debug complex issues related to switch performance and functionality. - Create and maintain detailed documentation for switch configuration, protocols, and development workflows. Must-Have Skills : - Strong proficiency in C++ programming. - In-depth experience with Broadcom switch platforms and Broadcom SDKs/APIs. - Excellent understanding of Layer 2 protocols including VLAN, VxLAN, NAT, STP, etc. - Solid knowledge of network security principles and experience with packet filtering/inspection. - Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and optimize performance in embedded switching systems. - Strong communication and collaboration skills with an ability to work in cross-functional teams. Desirable Skills : - Experience working with automotive OEMs or Tier 1 suppliers. - Exposure to system integration and hardware bring-up activities. - Knowledge of ASIC-level programming and hardware/software integration. - Familiarity with real-time constraints in embedded networking systems. - Experience collaborating with global teams across time zones.
