Application Developer I - OIPA Platform

We are seeking a skilled Application Developer I with expertise in the OIPA (Oracle Insurance Policy Administration) platform. In this role, you will be responsible for configuring and designing insurance products, writing and conducting UATs, testing insurance products, and building workflows to launch insurance product templates. Key Responsibilities : - Configure and customize the OIPA platform to design and launch insurance products tailored to business requirements. - Configure various types of insurance products, ensuring they align with client requirements and regulatory standards. - Design and build the workflow processes necessary for launching and managing insurance product templates. - Write User Acceptance Test (UAT) scenarios and conduct tests to ensure that the insurance products meet business needs and function correctly. - Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to OIPA configurations, ensuring timely solutions to maintain system integrity. - Work closely with business analysts, QA, and other stakeholders to understand product requirements and ensure that the platform is aligned with business needs. - Maintain clear documentation for configurations, customizations, and workflows to ensure knowledge sharing and compliance with standards. - Identify areas for process improvement and work with the team to optimize existing workflows, configurations, and testing processes. Required Skills & Qualifications : - Minimum of 4 years in application development, with strong experience in OIPA and related insurance platform configurations. - Proven experience configuring insurance products and customizing workflows, user interfaces, and business rules within the OIPA platform. - Expertise in configuring a variety of insurance products (e.g., life, health, property, casualty). - Experience integrating OIPA with other systems and applications for seamless data flow and process automation. - Experience writing and conducting UATs, along with unit testing of insurance product templates and workflows. - Strong issue-resolution skills and the ability to troubleshoot and address challenges related to OIPA configurations. - Knowledge of OIPA workflows, business rules configuration, and UI customizations. - Certification in OIPA or related insurance platform technologies is a plus. - Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and tools (ref:hirist.tech)
