Scala Developer - Microservices Architecture

Job Description : We are seeking an experienced and motivated Scala Microservices Developer to join our Core Banking Base Development/Professional Services Group. In this role, you will play a critical part in delivering transformative NextGen projects and professional services programs. Skill / Qualifications : - Bachelor's degree in a related field. - 4 to 8 years of hands-on development experience in Scala and Akka Framework. - Proficiency in Scala development, including Akka Framework and Akka Streams. - Expertise in test-driven development. - Knowledge of message brokers and event-driven microservices architecture. - Hands-on experience with Microservices design and development. - Familiarity with gRPC Protocol and Protocol Buffers. - Proficiency in Docker Containers and Kubernetes. - Good knowledge of the cloud platforms (preferably AWS), their IaaS, PaaS, SaaS solutions. - Working knowledge of tools such as Jira, Confluence, Ansible, and Terraform. - Familiarity with scripting languages like Batch, Bash, and Python (preferred). - Competency in unit testing, integration testing, and behavior-driven development. - Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Preferred : - Experience integrating third-party applications. - Knowledge of Agile methodologies and configuration management. - Understanding of financial industry processes and core banking integration. Job Responsibilities : - Adhere to established development processes and ensure project milestones are achieved. - Provide regular updates on status, identify issues proactively, and collaborate with Tech Leads and management for resolutions. - Take ownership and accountability for assigned tasks and deliverables, ensuring timely and quality delivery. - Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment, enabling the team to overcome organizational or resource challenges. - Design, recommend, and implement technical solutions independently, contributing to the program's success.
