Java Developer - Spring Boot/Microservices Architecture

Role Overview : We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Java Developer with a strong focus on building robust and scalable applications using Spring/SpringBoot, Microservices architecture, and interacting with SQL and Oracle databases. You will be a key member of our development team, contributing to the design, development, and deployment of high-quality software solutions. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on challenging projects and contribute to our innovative technology : - Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications and microservices using Spring and Spring Boot frameworks. - Develop and implement RESTful APIs and microservices following best practices. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product owners, designers, and other developers to understand requirements and deliver solutions. - Write efficient and well-documented SQL queries and interact effectively with relational databases, primarily Oracle and other SQL-based systems. - Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, and deployment. - Ensure the scalability, performance, and reliability of developed applications and microservices. - Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, providing timely and effective solutions. - Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to coding standards. - Contribute to architectural discussions and provide input on technical design decisions related to microservices and data persistence. - Develop and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and test coverage. - Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in Java, Spring ecosystem, microservices architecture, and database technologies. - Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes and tools. Skills Required Skills : - Strong proficiency in Java programming language. - Extensive experience with the Spring framework, particularly Spring Boot for rapid application development. - Solid understanding of microservices architecture, principles, and patterns. - Proven experience working with relational databases, including writing complex SQL queries. - Hands-on experience with Oracle database. - Experience with RESTful API design and development. - Familiarity with build tools such as Maven or Gradle. - Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git). - Understanding of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum). - Experience with unit testing frameworks (e.g., JUnit, Skills : - Experience with other Spring projects (e.g., Spring Cloud, Spring Security, Spring Data JPA). - Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). - Experience with message queues (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ). - Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP). - Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps). - Knowledge of API gateway technologies. - Experience with distributed tracing and logging in a microservices environment. - Familiarity with NoSQL databases. - Experience with performance tuning and optimization of Java applications and database Skills : - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. - Proactive and self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership. - Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies quickly. - Good organizational and time management skills (ref:hirist.tech)
