Role Type : Contract Job Title : Azure Data Engineer Location : Hybrid Bagmane Tech Park, Bangalore (3 days/week onsite) Contract Duration : 6 Months (Extendable) Experience : 4 Years Maximum Allowable Budget : ?1.3 LPM Job Description : We are looking for an experienced Azure Data Engineer to join our team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in building scalable data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Databricks, with strong proficiency in SQL and either Python or PySpark. Key Responsibilities : - Design, develop, and optimize ETL pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks - Build and manage data integration workflows to support analytics and reporting - Write efficient, production-quality code in SQL, Python, or PySpark - Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and deliver scalable data solutions - Ensure data quality, integrity, and security in all data engineering processes - Monitor and troubleshoot production data pipelines Required Skills : - 4 years of hands-on experience in data engineering - Strong expertise with Azure Data Factory and Databricks - Proficiency in SQL and either Python or PySpark - Solid understanding of data lake architecture and data integration patterns - Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD practices is a plus - Strong communication and problem-solving skills Nice to Have : - Experience working in hybrid teams or client-facing environments - Familiarity with Azure Synapse, Delta Lake, or Power BI (ref:hirist.tech)
