Job Summary : We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Shopify Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have 4 to 10 years of experience in developing and customizing Shopify stores, with a deep understanding of the platform's architecture and best practices. As a Senior Shopify Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing complex Shopify solutions, optimizing store performance, and providing technical leadership to the team. Responsibilities : Shopify Development : - Develop and customize Shopify themes and apps using Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Shopify's APIs. - Implement complex features and functionalities to meet client requirements. - Optimize Shopify stores for performance, scalability, and SEO. - Integrate third-party apps and services with Shopify stores. - Develop custom shopify apps. Technical Leadership : - Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers. - Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards. - Contribute to the development of best practices and coding guidelines. - Architect complex solutions. Project Management : - Collaborate with project managers and clients to define project requirements and timelines. - Estimate development effort and provide accurate timelines. - Manage multiple projects simultaneously and ensure timely delivery. - Troubleshoot complex issues. Problem Solving and Debugging : - Identify and resolve complex technical issues and bugs. - Debug and optimize Shopify themes and apps. - Troubleshoot integration issues with third-party apps and services. Staying Up-to-Date : - Stay up-to-date with the latest Shopify updates, features, and best practices. - Research and evaluate new technologies and tools. - Participate in the Shopify community and contribute to open-source projects (if applicable). Required Technical Skills : Shopify Platform : - Expert-level proficiency in Shopify theme and app development. - Deep understanding of Liquid templating language. - Experience with Shopify's APIs (REST and GraphQL). - Experience with the shopify CLI. - Experience with shopify Hydrogen is a plus. Web Technologies : - Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6). - Experience with front-end frameworks and libraries (e.g , React, Vue.js, Angular) is a plus. - Understanding of responsive design principles. Version Control : - Proficiency in Git and experience with Management : - Basic understanding of database concepts. API Integration : - Experience integrating third-party APIs with Shopify stores. Performance Optimization : - Knowledge of website performance optimization techniques. - Experience using performance monitoring tools.
