Job Description
Key Responsibilities : Data Migration Planning : - Analyse current data sources, structures, and dependencies to create a comprehensive migration strategy. - Collaborate with stakeholders to understand Salesforce requirements and define migration goals and timelines. Data Analysis and Mapping : - Conduct thorough analysis of source and target systems to map data fields and identify transformation requirements. - Develop and maintain data mapping Process Development : - Design and implement Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes to migrate data efficiently. - Use data migration tools and programming languages like SQL Data Validation and Testing : - Validate migrated data for accuracy, completeness, and integrity within Salesforce. - Identify and resolve data inconsistencies or errors during and Communication : - Work closely with IT, data architects, and business users to align on migration requirements. - Provide regular updates and reports to stakeholders on migration progress and and Support : - Maintain detailed documentation of migration processes, configurations, and outcomes. - Provide post-migration support to ensure smooth adoption of the new system. Qualifications : - Proven experience in data migration, ETL processes, or database management. - Familiarity with migration tools like Microsoft SSIS - Should have basic experience on Salesforce CRM. - Solid understanding of the Salesforce CRM data model and object relationships. - Proficient in using Salesforce Data Loader and Workbench for data management Skills : - Proficiency in SQL and database technologies (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server). - Data Migration Planning : Develop detailed migration plans and strategies for large-scale data migrations, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk assessments. - Data Mapping & Transformation : Analyze source and target systems, and define mapping and transformation rules to ensure accurate and seamless data migration. - Data Extraction & Validation : Extract data from legacy systems and validate it against the new systems requirements. - Migration Execution : Perform data migration tasks, including scripting, data validation, and performing actual data transfers. - Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution : Address and resolve any issues that arise during the migration process, including data mismatches or incomplete data. - Quality Assurance : Ensure that all migrated data is accurate, complete, and adheres to the defined standards. - Testing : Conduct post-migration testing and data verification to ensure systems function as expected and migrated data is accessible. - Documentation & Reporting : Maintain detailed documentation of the migration process, including issues encountered and their resolution. - Stakeholder Communication : Coordinate with stakeholders, including project managers, developers, and business analysts, to ensure alignment with project goals. - Ongoing Support : Provide support after migration to ensure the stability of the data and troubleshoot any post-migration issues. Required Skills and Qualifications : - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). - Proven experience in data migration, including designing, testing, and executing large-scale migrations. - Strong understanding of data structures, databases, and integration methodologies. - Experience with data migration tools such as Informatica, Talend, SSIS, or similar. - Proficient in SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and verification. - Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and data warehousing solutions. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. - Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. - Strong attention to detail and quality assurance skills. - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Preferred Qualifications : - Experience in migrating data between legacy and modern systems (ERP, CRM, etc.). - Familiarity with data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) and best practices in data security. - Knowledge of programming/scripting languages (Python, Shell, etc.) for automating migration tasks. - Certification in data management, cloud platforms, or relevant technologies.
