L2/L3 Network Engineer - Cisco & ACI Products

Job Summary : We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join our team, specializing in the installation, configuration, and support of Cisco network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Routing and Switching technologies, hands-on experience with Cisco Nexus 9K series, and a working knowledge of Cisco ACI. The role also involves maintaining network performance, resolving connectivity issues, and implementing WAN solutions. Key Responsibilities : - Install, configure, and support Cisco routers and switches across enterprise networks. - Perform upgrades and apply firmware updates to network devices. - Replace defective network hardware components as needed. - Monitor and report on network health and performance to relevant stakeholders. - Diagnose and resolve connectivity issues involving firewalls, load balancers, and proxy servers. - Collaborate effectively with cross-functional technology teams to ensure seamless network operations. - Maintain comprehensive documentation for network configurations and procedures. Technical Skills Required : For L2 Level : - Fundamental understanding of Cisco ACI. - Solid hands-on experience with Routing & Switching : BGP, OSPF, Static Routes. - Familiarity with Multicast, NAT, RSTP, MSTP, PBR, FHRP. - Exposure to WAN technologies including MPLS, IPSEC, GRE, VPN, and DMVPN. - Basic understanding of Cisco SD-WAN (Viptela) is a plus. For L3 Level : - Advanced expertise in Cisco ACI. - Strong knowledge of switching technologies: VPC, FHRP, STP, LACP. - Deep experience with Cisco Nexus 9K series (installation, commissioning, configuration). - Advanced understanding of WAN technologies such as MPLS, IPSEC, GRE, GETVPN. - Practical exposure to SD-WAN (Viptela) is highly desirable. Soft Skills : - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Strong analytical thinking and creative problem-solving abilities. - Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
