Position Overview: The Commodity Buyer is responsible for defining and executing supplier strategies to ensure the acquisition of production materials and investments at optimal cost, quality, service, and sustainability. This role plays a key part in driving supplier negotiations, cost optimization, and long-term strategic partnerships. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement effective commodity purchasing strategies that align with business objectives. Identify cost-saving opportunities while ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement processes. Establish and maintain strong supplier relationships, ensuring compliance with quality standards and operational efficiency. Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure the best commercial terms, including price, service, and payment conditions. Meet savings targets by optimizing costs, consolidating suppliers, and localizing sourcing strategies. Support regional sourcing and resourcing initiatives to enhance supply chain performance. Continuously drive process improvements and cost reduction measures across assigned commodities. Monitor and mitigate supplier risks while promoting sustainability in the supply chain. Ensure supplier compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and environmental standards. Collaborate with internal teams on strategic projects related to purchasing and supplier development. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in commodity purchasing, particularly stampings, within the automotive sector. Strong analytical skills with a structured working approach and adaptability to dynamic environments. Ability to manage multiple deliverables efficiently and autonomously. Proven negotiation and communication skills, with resilience and a proactive mindset. Experience with supplier management, contract negotiations, and cost optimization strategies.
