System Engineer

Akronos Group, an international leader in innovation, R&D, and high-tech engineering services, is seeking a System Engineer for its operations in Rome, Italy . Sector: Aerospace and Defence Responsibilities: The engineer will be part of the project team defining sub-system requirements according to standards, norms, and laws, and will be responsible for sub-system integration. Oversee functional testing during validation and certification phases. Manage on-board assigned sub-systems, interfacing with suppliers, customers, and project teams. Participate in design reviews to set sub-system configurations and requirements. Collaborate with the requirement manager to handle project requirements related to assigned sub-systems. Required Skills: BSc/MSc in Electronic, Automation, or Computer Science Engineering Ability to allocate requirements to sub-systems and stakeholders Proficiency in writing functional and test specifications Capability to define sub-system architecture, functionalities, and operational modes from input documentation Experience with IBM DOORS for reporting Knowledge of MIL-STD, ECSS, and/or DO-178 standards Good understanding of SW/HW integration Ability to adhere to engineering plans and deadlines Effective communication with internal and external stakeholders Fluent in Italian (mother tongue) Intermediate English (at least B2 level) All skills will be verified in a technical qualification meeting.
