Role and Responsibilities In this role, you will be responsible for leading the Testing Team, conducting testing and inspections during manufacturing to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications. ABB empowers smarter business operations by connecting equipment, software, and services to protect, control, and optimize assets within electrical infrastructures. The role contributes to multiple energy-intensive industries by providing end-to-end product and service solutions that ensure electrical infrastructure reliability and protection. The work model for this role is: LI - Onsite This position is part of the Electrification Service Division in Florence, SC. You will be mainly accountable for: Managing testing facilities : including two testing areas and any temporary testing locations within the facility. Managing test technicians : including assignments, training, and ensuring timely product flow through testing, in accordance with ABB standards and safety guidelines. Performing physical pre-testing activities : for new products to ensure quality and validate manufacturing processes. Assisting with Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and engaging with Engineering and Quality teams to update test procedures using modern methods and equipment. Ensuring compliance : maintaining test reports and certificates that demonstrate adherence to standards, market, and regulatory requirements. Acting as Electrical Safety Champion : including NFPA 70E training and participating in quality improvement initiatives, troubleshooting issues, and implementing corrective actions. Qualifications Bachelor's degree with 6 years of experience, or associate's with 12 years, or high school with 18 years, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and wiring diagrams. Skill in analyzing test data and troubleshooting. Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment requiring quick decision-making and teamwork. Must have valid work authorization for the US.
