CNC Programmer-Must have Mazak

Job Title: Mazak CNC Operator/Programmer Variations: Job type: Full time, Union Position Position summary: Primary responsibilities for CNC Operator/Programmer will include set-up, operate, and program (using Mazatrol) various types of machines, including those with Hurco systems, for the production of piece parts and tooling. This role involves interpreting and following drawings, travelers, specified requirements, procedures, instructions, and other applicable documentation. Reporting to the Machine Shop Manager, the CNC Operator/Programmer will work with visual aids and verbal/written instructions to ensure efficient and accurate machining processes. Reports to: Machine Shop Manager. Responsibilities: · Interprets and follows drawings, travelers, specified requirements, procedures, instructions and other applicable documentation. · Will be required to set-up and operate various Machine shop CNC machines, including those with Mazatrol and Hurco systems, as well as other equipment for assigned tasks. · Assists in construction of fixtures, jigs, tools, soft vise jaws, shop aids. · Uses various measuring and inspection tools and equipment for piece part inspection, compliance, accuracy verification. · Maintains a clean and safe work area. · Will produce piece parts and tooling as needed. · Meets or exceeds productivity, quality and safety standards. · Participates with co-workers in job skill transfer. · Performs maintenance to machines and equipment in Machine shop as required. · Performs other functions such as moving parts/material, loading/unloading, sweeping, cleaning and other as needed. Qualifications and skills: · Knowledge in Mazatrol and Hurco programming (required). · Ability to write and communicate in English. · Ability to interact effectively with peers and supervisors. · Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. · Knowledge in GD&T. · Good understanding of measuring tools commonly used in the machining industry (i.e. Calipers, Micrometers, etc.). · Ability to adhere to workplace rules. · Ability to ensure safety of personnel and equipment. · Ability to follow standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required. Ability to work with oils, degreasers, and other tools of the trade.
