This Opportunity WSP is currently initiating a search for a Consultant, Enclosures for our Chicago, IL office. Work will include building enclosure design consulting, building enclosure commissioning, new building, restoration, and repair design of roofing and vertical building enclosures, including design detailing and specification review and construction phase consulting services, forensic investigation, condition assessment, and building science analysis. Candidate will be expected to work on teams of multiple staff on multiple projects at the same time, offer technical guidance to others, coordinate with the appropriate technical leads for relevant enclosure systems on the project, and may be asked to support project management duties and/or be the primary point of contact for the client. Your Impact Duties and Responsibilities: * Provide building enclosure consulting and commissioning services. * Assist project teams with completing building enclosure design reviews. * Review fenestration, vertical facade, roofing, and waterproofing systems and detailing. * Assist with performing technical reviews and support technical working sessions with clients. * Provide support in completing on-site forensic investigations and functional performance testing of enclosure systems. * Conduct on-site construction site visits, performance testing observations, and reporting. Who You Are Required Qualifications * Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related discipline. * 3-5 years of experience in Building Enclosures / Construction. * Ability to review and interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and construction documents with a strong attention to detail. * Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit for developing and modifying enclosure system details and documentation. * Knowledge in design and construction of exterior building components including fenestration, facade, roofing, and waterproofing materials * Experience in quality control and management * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Willingness to travel * Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures. * Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies. Preferred Qualifications: * Master's Degree in one of the above-listed disciplines * Experience with building enclosure commissioning * Basic Understanding of building performance simulation and analysis. Compensation: Expected Salary (all locations): $82,400 - $113,000 WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant's sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
