Design Engineer

Job Title: Design Engineer Location: Oxford Salary: £42,000-£45,000 Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Planet Recruitment are proud to be working with a leading manufacturer in the their sector, seeking a Design Engineer to join their innovative and collaborative team. The Role: As a Design Engineer, you'll support the full product development lifecycle-from concept and prototyping through to production. You'll play a key role in the design of mechanical and electrical assemblies, support manufacturing, and contribute to product improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Design complex mechanical/electrical assemblies, including moulded and GRP components Assist with new product development and testing Provide technical support to production and sales departments Create and manage CAD drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs) Liaise with suppliers on technical matters Ideal Candidate: Degree in Engineering (or equivalent) with 5 years' design experience Proficient in 3D CAD (NX preferred) Strong understanding of mechanical systems, fabrication, and assembly processes Experience with fabricated and moulded components Knowledge of fluid or electrical systems is a plus What's On Offer: Opportunity to work on industry-leading products Dynamic and hands-on engineering environment Long-term career development within a forward-thinking company Benefits Lots of in house benefits from this company including onsite exercise classes, brillaint work life balance and a true care from the owners of the business who have a genuine care for their employees.
