New Product Development Specialist

Job description NPD Product Technologist *Bakery experience required* *Not Sponsoring VISAs* Reporting to: Production Manager We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive NPD Technologist to support the successful delivery of new products from concept to launch. This is a key role within a thriving artisan bakery, who have been in operations for over 40 years. Key Responsibilities: Conduct research into market-specific standards for new product categories Develop and communicate clear testing plans, including compliance steps and required registrations Manage product trials and ensure suppliers are aligned with specifications and expectations Review formulations, packaging, labelling, and artwork for accuracy and compliance Liaise with authorities and stay up to date on relevant legislation, attending training as required Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to support quality assurance and timely product delivery Identify and resolve challenges during the NPD process, working closely with the bakery team. Requirements: Previous experience in a similar technical, NPD, or compliance-focused role Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal If this sounds of interest as this won't be around for long!
