Full Stack Engineer Industry: Defence & Aerospace Location: Fully onsite - Gloucester Working Week: 37.5 hrs across 4 days Passport: Must be a British-born sole UK National Security Clearance: DV ( Developed Vetting) is required to start The Opportunity: The world's largest defence contractor and a leader in aerospace, security, and technology innovation seek an influential Full Stack Engineer to support complex National Security and Central Intelligence programmes. Key Requirements: British-born UK National holding active Developed Vetting (DV) Clearance and willingness to obtain enhanced DV before starting role. Proficient in Java (and familiar with Python), with experience in Linux. Strong knowledge of unit testing (JUnit 5.x), mocking frameworks, and Git version control. Experienced in Agile (SCRUM) development, relational (Oracle) and NoSQL (Mongo) databases. Familiar with GitLab CI/CD Pipelines, Apache NiFi, and Atlassian Suite (Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence). Knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Elasticsearch, Kibana, Hibernate, JSF (PrimeFaces), and AWS cloud services. Skilled in mentoring junior developers, working with microservices, and serverless architectures, and optimising CI/CD pipelines for cloud deployments. Experience with AWS services (EC2, EKS, Fargate, IAM, S3, Lambda) and migration of on-premises workloads to the cloud.
