First level Technologist (A) - Food science and technology (Prof. Scampicchio Matteo Mario) The Free University of Bozen/Bolzano was founded on 31 October 1997 as a multilingual, internationally oriented institution. Deadline for sending applications and publications: 09.05.2025 at 12:00 PM (noon) Number of applications: 0 Description of the research activity: The technologist will develop protocols for the extraction and characterization of bioactives from fruit by-products, analyzing them with chromatographic (HPLC-MS), spectroscopic (UV-Vis, FTIR, DSC) and electrochemical techniques. He/she will evaluate stability and antioxidant activity (DPPH, ORAC, FRAP) and test sustainable processing techniques. The student will collaborate with partners to develop functional ingredients and bio-based materials. The work will be carried out at unibz, with possible trips for testing and dissemination.
