What you will do The Materials Associate Scientist provides technical leadership to evaluate and execute projects that secure business, ensure compliance, reduce complexity, and optimize costs of our raw material portfolio (cosmetic and OTC). Responsibilities include leading and executing double sourcing qualification, managing changes (crisis, discontinuation, supplier-driven changes, and plant support), and coordinating with support functions such as Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Regulatory Affairs, Analytical, Microbiology, and Quality. Key Responsibilities Provide technical support and evaluate impacts of changes related to the raw material portfolio. Collaborate with global leads and functions to develop and manage Global Change Controls for multiple raw materials. Develop and own execution of Global Change Control Plans and Deliverables. Prepare lab batches of semi-solid and liquid products to assess equivalency. Coordinate with other business functions to evaluate change impacts. Interact with internal departments such as Procurement, Analytical, IM/EM sites, QA, PD, Regulatory, Toxicology, Claims, and Suppliers. Perform statistical analysis and reporting of lab data (using Minitab) for raw materials. Prepare technical justifications. Support manufacturing investigations and provide technical service to ensure business continuity. Seek guidance from team members and managers as needed. Manage project timelines. Qualifications What we are looking for Required Qualifications: Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Pharmacy, or related field (preferred). 1-2 years of experience in R&D Reformulation and/or Product Development (cosmetic & OTC). Ability to work independently and in a global environment. Fluent in English. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Strong problem-solving, complexity management, and decision-making abilities. Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers. Strong passion for science, technology, innovation, and problem-solving. Working knowledge of TRU, CAPRI, Symphony is preferred. Kenvue is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
