Full Time LTC Pharmacist In Charge - Rochester, NY

Soliant Health is actively seeking a Pharmacist In Charge (PIC) for a direct hire opportunity at a well-established long-term care pharmacy in Rochester, New York. This is a HOT and high-priority opening for an experienced leader who is ready to take ownership of a critical operation and help lead a motivated, fast-paced pharmacy team. This facility operates 24/7, 365 days a year, and processes approximately 1,800 prescriptions per day. It includes a fully operational clean room for sterile pounding of IVs and TPNs, supported by a robust team of over 30 staff members across pharmacy, tech, and administrative functions. The successful candidate will not only provide top-tier administrative oversight but also lead by example, working shoulder-to-shoulder with the team when needed. Schedule: Rotating Shifts: 1st: 7:00 AM 3:30 PM 2nd: 3:00 PM 10:00 PM 3rd: 11:00 PM 7:30 AM The PIC should maintain visibility across all shifts and maintain a strong leadership presence throughout the week. Key Responsibilities: Oversee and ensure the adherence to all state and federal regulations, SOPs, and internal policies. Act as a leadership figure who motivates the team, builds strong munication channels, and drives accountability and productivity. Supervise and evaluate medication orders for accuracy, safety, and therapeutic appropriateness. Handle and resolve all HR-related issues on-site (no dedicated HR team), escalating only when necessary. Provide ongoing support to pharmacists, technicians, and client support staff in daily operations. Be present on the floor to ensure efficient workflow and step in during peak periods or staffing gaps. Investigate medication-related inquiries from facilities, physicians, or internal staff and resolve them promptly. Maintain proper security, inventory, and control measures for all medications, including controlled substances. Foster a culture of pliance, continuous improvement, and top-tier patient care. Required Qualifications: Active and unrestricted Pharmacist license in the state of New York. 510 years of pharmacy experience in hospital, retail, or long-term care settings. Must have prior PIC or pharmacy management experience or a minimum of 5 years of long-term care experience and readiness to step into a leadership role. Proven experience leading pharmacy teams, managing pliance, and improving operational efficiency. Strong munication, organization, and team leadership skills are essential. Familiarity with sterile pounding and clean room operations. Experience with Framework or ECM software strongly preferred.
