Test Lead - Web Application Testing

Job Title : Test Lead - Mobile Banking Internet Banking Experience : 5 Years (3 years as a Test Lead) Location : Mumbai Employment Type : [Full-time/Contract] Job Summary : We are seeking a highly skilled Test Lead with 5 years of experience in software testing, including at least 3 years in a leadership role. The ideal candidate should have expertise in Web Application Testing, Test Planning, and Defect Management. The candidate should also possess strong project coordination skills and should be capable of leading a team of 6-8 members. Candidates must have ISTQB Foundation Level certification or should be willing to clear it within three months of joining. Key Responsibilities : Test Planning & Strategy : - Create Test Plans, Test Strategies, and Test Scenarios for Web Applications. - Develop and document high-level test conditions based on business scenarios. Team Leadership & Coordination : - Lead and manage a team of 6-8 test engineers. - Allocate tasks and responsibilities among team members. - Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and external developers to ensure quality delivery. Test Execution & Defect Management : - Execute test cases and oversee Defect Management. - Monitor and coordinate test execution to meet project timelines. - Prepare Defect Analysis Reports and escalate critical issues when necessary. Project Coordination & Reporting : - Provide Effort Estimation for testing projects. - Prepare and present Status Reports, MIS Reports, and Test Closure Reports. - Track and update daily activities in the Daily Status Report. Required Skills & Qualifications : - 3 years of experience as a Test Lead with a total of 5 years in software testing. - Hands-on experience with Web Application Testing and Defect Management. - Strong knowledge of Test Planning, Strategy, and Execution. - Proven ability to lead and mentor a team. - Experience in Effort Estimation and Project Coordination. - Excellent communication skills to interact with internal teams, clients, and external developers. - ISTQB Foundation Level Certification (must be cleared within 3 months of joining if not already obtained). Preferred Qualifications : - Experience with Automation Testing tools. - Familiarity with Agile methodologies. - Hands-on experience with JIRA, TestRail, or similar test management tools (ref:hirist.tech)
