Manual Tester - Application Testing

Manual Tester (Mobile Banking Internet Banking) Experience : 5 Years (3 years as a Test Lead) Location : Mumbai Job Summary : We are seeking a highly skilled Test Lead with 5 years of experience in software testing, including at least 3 years in a leadership role. The ideal candidate should have expertise in Web Application Testing, Test Planning, and Defect Management. The candidate should also possess strong project coordination skills and should be capable of leading a team of 6-8 members. Candidates must have ISTQB Foundation Level certification or should be willing to clear it within three months of joining. Indian Banking Domain experience is mandatory, with hands-on experience in Internet Banking / Mobile Banking, and various payment methods such as NEFT, RTGS, IMPS, UPI, BBPS, and other digital payments. Key Responsibilities : Test Planning & Strategy : - Create Test Plans, Test Strategies, and Test Scenarios for Web Applications. - Develop and document high-level test conditions based on business scenarios. Team Leadership & Coordination : - Lead and manage a team of 6-8 test engineers. - Allocate tasks and responsibilities among team members. - Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and external developers to ensure quality delivery. Test Execution & Defect Management : - Execute test cases and oversee Defect Management. - Test execution as per test cases and log test execution results. - Assist in Defect Classification and Reporting. - Prepare Defect Analysis Reports and escalate critical issues when necessary. Mobile Application Testing : - Experience in Mobile App Functional Testing, System Integration Testing, Regression Testing, and Black Box Testing. - Expertise in testing both iOS and Android applications, understanding the differences between them (APK handling, fetching logs, etc.). Project Coordination & Reporting : - Provide Effort Estimation for testing projects. - Prepare and present Status Reports, MIS Reports, and Test Closure Reports. - Update daily activities in the Daily Status Report, ensuring accurate communication of the day's testing status. - Provision of data required for status report preparation. Database & Test Management Tools : - Knowledge of Test Management Tools like JIRA. - Ability to write and execute SQL scripts for data-level validations. Required Skills & Qualifications : - 3 years of experience as a Test Lead with a total of 5 years in software testing. - Indian Banking Domain experience is mandatory. - Hands-on experience with Web Application Testing, Internet Banking, Mobile Banking, and Digital Payments (NEFT, RTGS, IMPS, UPI, BBPS, etc.). - Strong knowledge of Test Planning, Strategy, and Execution. - Proven ability to lead and mentor a team. - Experience in Effort Estimation and Project Coordination. - Expertise in Mobile App Testing (iOS & Android), including app installation, fetching logs, and troubleshooting. - Experience in System Integration Testing, Regression Testing, and Black Box Testing. - Excellent communication skills to interact with internal teams, clients, and external developers. - ISTQB Foundation Level Certification (must be cleared within 3 months of joining if not already obtained). - Knowledge of JIRA or similar test management tools. - Ability to write and execute SQL scripts for data validations. Preferred Qualifications : - Experience with Automation Testing tools. - Familiarity with Agile methodologies. - Hands-on experience with JIRA, TestRail, or similar test management tools (ref:hirist.tech)
