Overview of the Accounts Payable Specialist role: As an integral member of the accounting team, you will: Process high volumes of vendor invoices, match purchase orders, and ensure timely and accurate payments. Manage corporate credit card transactions with complete documentation and audit readiness. Review and process employee expense reports and check requests in compliance with company policies. Reconcile accounts payable aging reports and ensure prompt resolution of discrepancies. Oversee intercompany transactions to ensure timely and accurate entries. Post payment transactions with a strong focus on accuracy, compliance, and audit controls. Perform general ledger and job cost entries, including necessary adjustments and corrections. Preferred Qualifications for the Accounts Payable Specialist: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred). Proven experience handling high-volume accounts payable in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Prior experience in the construction industry is strongly preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Familiarity with accounting software such as CMiC and Sage 100 is a plus.
