SCA Mechanical Site Supervisor

Job Description Job Description Responsibilities: We are looking for an MEP Superintendent to help consistently deliver projects on time, on budget and that exceed client expectations. Our superintendents are an integral part of the project team. Responsibilities: Work in partnership with project manager to identify and address issues of constructability or lack of scope during preconstruction phase Develop comprehensive understanding of project strategy and commitments including financial goals, scheduling, logistics, phasing, milestones, inspections Review submittals, shop drawings and other product data to ensure proper materials are being installed on site Coordinate MEP’s with architectural and structural elements to make sure systems work and end product is aesthetically pleasing Work with lead super to ensure trades are staying on overall project schedule Review construction documents for MEPFP constructability issues. Monitor installation and start-up of MEP systems Review materials and equipment for MEPFP systems prior to installation Demonstrate and maintain effective and open dialogue with the project team regarding changes in work, job conditions, subcontractor relations and any deviation in the direction of the project Maintain and review punch list process to ensure all are addressed and executed in a timely manner. Qualifications: Previous experience working on SCA projects Familiarity with construction management software Strong leadership qualities Strong negotiation skills Strong work ethic Deadline and detail-oriented Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering Ability to read blueprints, structural drawings and plan sets Advanced understanding of risk management policies and procedures Extensive experience in mechanical engineering Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes and equipment Company Description Presently located in Northvale New Jersey and established in 1987, Neelam Construction Corporation provides the New York-Tri State Area with General Contracting services.
