Senior Accountant

An innovative, growing company, we are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior Accountant to play a key role in our fast-growing finance team. As a valuable addition to our team, you will play an important role in our fast-growing finance team. The ideal candidate is passionate about golf, restaurants or entertainment, and has a strong background in accounting with multiunit setups. Reports to: Controller RESPONSIBILITIES: Monitor revenue and expenses and ensure accurate reporting in accordance with GAAP and established corporate accounting practices. Perform balance sheet reconciliations on a regular basis to maintain accurate financial records. Perform bank reconciliations; research and analyze findings to ensure accuracy of accounts. Perform general ledger account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Prepare and review financial statements Work closely with all departments to understand, correctly categorize, and control costs. Work closely with the payroll department to audit tips and hourly wages. Monitor spending for all departments to ensure proper purchase approvals and manage spending limits. Document and maintain complete and accurate supporting information for all financial transactions. Work Closely with the AP department to make sure that all payments are issued timely Assist with preparation of sales tax filings and other state and local tax reports Maintain Prepaid and Accrual Schedules Support the Controller in the preparation of financial reports for internal and external stakeholders Perform other duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors in Accounting required 4-5 years progressively responsible experience in accounting Proficiency in NetSuite required Experience with month-end closing processes Experience with the preparation of multi-unit/multi-department financial statements Experience with tax filings Advanced knowledge of Excel Spreadsheets – macros, pivot tables, vlookups Payroll processing and recording experience is a plus Management Experience is a plus Requirements:
