Job Title: Senior Liferay Developer (Java & SQL). Location: Gurugram, Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai. Job Type: Full-time onsite. Experience Level: Senior (7 years). Job Summary:. We are seeking a Senior Liferay Developer with 7 years of professional experience in enterprise application development using Liferay, Java, and SQL. The ideal candidate is a hands-on technologist who can architect, develop, and maintain complex portal solutions, lead technical discussions, and mentor junior developers. You'll be part of a fast-paced team working on innovative digital solutions. Key Responsibilities : - Lead the design, development, and implementation of Liferay portal solutions (Liferay DXP 7.x). - Customize and extend core Liferay functionalities using Java, JSP, and Service Builder. - Write efficient, scalable SQL queries and manage database objects (triggers, views, stored procedures). - Collaborate with solution architects to design robust, scalable, and maintainable systems. - Integrate third-party services and APIs (REST, SOAP) into the Liferay ecosystem. - Optimize performance and ensure security and scalability of applications. - Review code and provide mentorship to junior developers. - Work closely with cross-functional teams (BA, QA, DevOps, UX) to deliver high-quality solutions. Required Skills and Qualifications : 7 years of experience in software development with strong Java/J2EE background. 5 years of hands-on experience with Liferay Portal/DXP (7. x preferred). Expertise in SQL and RDBMS (e. , MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle); strong knowledge of database design and performance tuning. Solid experience with Liferay portlet development (MVC, Service Builder), hooks, themes, and layouts. Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and front-end integration. Knowledge of OSGi modular development within Liferay. Experience with Git, Maven, and CI/CD pipelines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications : - Liferay DXP Developer Certification. - Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). - Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies. - Exposure to Single Sign-On (SSO), LDAP, and enterprise integration patterns.
